我們處理哪些資料

• 串流網址：當頁面請求 HLS（m3u8）或 MP4 資源時，擴充功能會在本機記下該網址，方便你稍後下載。
• 分頁識別：串流清單依 Chrome 分頁分開存放，關閉分頁後即刪除。
• 錄影畫面：只有在你主動點選「錄製當前分頁」或「錄製電腦畫面」，並在 Chrome 系統對話框中允許分享後，才會擷取畫面與（可選）音訊。檔案以 WebM 存在你指定的下載位置。
• 下載檔：HLS 分片與 MP4 檔直接寫入你的電腦。

我們不做的事

• 不要求註冊或登入。
• 不把串流網址、錄影或下載檔上傳到遠端伺服器。
• 不使用分析、廣告或追蹤程式碼。
• 不出售或與第三方分享使用者資料。
• 不下載 YouTube、不繞過付費牆／登入牆，也不解密 DRM 內容。

權限用途

• webRequest：偵測公開媒體請求網址。
• storage：本機暫存偵測結果。
• tabs：對應目前分頁並開啟下載／錄影頁面。
• downloads：觸發 MP4 本機存檔。
• 所有網站的主機權限：影音檔可能由第三方 CDN 提供，因此需要能觀察這些請求；僅用於媒體偵測。

資料保存

串流清單只存在瀏覽器本機儲存空間，並在分頁關閉時清除。錄影與下載檔的保存期限由你自行管理。

Privacy Policy — Ultimate Video Catcher Pro

This Chrome extension is designed so that your data stays on your computer. We do not operate a backend that receives your media or browsing data.

Data we process

• Stream URLs: When a page requests an HLS (m3u8) or MP4 resource, the extension stores that URL locally so you can download it.
• Tab identifiers: Detected streams are grouped by Chrome tab and removed when the tab is closed.
• Recorded video: Capture starts only after you click Record current tab or Record computer screen and approve Chrome's system prompt. The file is saved locally as WebM.
• Downloaded files: HLS segments and MP4 files are written to your computer.

What we do not do

• No account or sign-in.
• No upload of URLs, recordings, or files to a remote server.
• No analytics, ads, or tracking.
• No sale or sharing of user data with third parties.
• No YouTube downloading, paywall/login bypass, or DRM decryption.

Why permissions are used

• webRequest: detect public media request URLs.
• storage: keep detection results on-device.
• tabs: associate results with the active tab and open download/record pages.
• downloads: start a local MP4 save dialog.
• Host permission for all URLs: media files are often served from third-party CDNs; this is used only for media detection.

Retention

Stream lists live in local Chrome storage and are cleared when the tab closes. You control how long saved recordings and downloads remain on disk.
